Summary

From Quebec, it is mandated that all custom applications to be installed on a production instance must be mapped to an available subscription.

Instructions

The following individuals will be required to do this:

  • Any developer or administrator attempting to install a custom application from the Application Repository onto a production instance.

Which production instances will be exempt from this requirement?

  1. Production instances with no active license (i.e., where the license_details table is empty).
  2. Instances where the enforce_custom_tables flag is set to FALSE (this can be found in the ua_instance_state table).
  3. Instances with a platform Runtime license.

What to choose from the dropdown and its implications:

  1. The user can select any available subscription from the dropdown menu.
  2. There will be no immediate implications, and the subscription can be changed later if needed
